ABOUT ME

Inspired by my Japanese grandmother, I became interested in calligraphy as a young girl. I lived in Japan for 20 years where I studied with the great calligrapher Mitsufuji Kanei, a disciple of one of the most famous calligraphy masters of the post-war era, Imai Ryōsetsu. Now back in Switzerland, I hope to transmit and share the art and spirit of Japanese calligraphy with you.

若い頃、私の日本人の祖母からインスピレーションを受けた私は、書道に興味を持つようになりました。日本に２０年間暮らし、素晴らしい書道家である三藤観映先生から書道を学びました。三藤先生は戦後において、極めて優秀で際立った今井凌雪先生の弟子の一人です。そして今スイスに戻り、多くの人にこの書道の美しさやスピリットを伝えたい、共有したいという想いを持っています。

The Art of Calligraphy・書道の芸術

The origin of the Chinese characters goes back well over 3000 years to the Shang dynasty, while in ancient Japan writing as an art form only began to develop with the rise of Buddhism and Confucianism around the 6th century AD.

Using only black ink and white paper opens up an infinite wealth of expressive possibilities. Through calligraphy, we immerse ourselves in a meditative world of silence which, apart from the mastery of various brush techniques, requires a great power of concentration, but also naturalness and spontaneity.

漢字の起源は、3000年以上も前に殷王朝にまで遡ります。一方、古代日本において書道が芸術形式として発展し始めたのは、仏教と儒教が6世紀頃に興隆してからであります。

黒いインク（墨）と白い紙（唐紙・和紙）を使うだけで、表現の可能性は無限に広がります。書道を通して、静寂に包まれた瞑想的な世界に身を置くことができますが、それに、様々な筆技を使いこなすこととは別に、膨大な集中力・自然性・自発性が必要だと私は思っています。
