SHODŌ PERFORMANCE
Concentration of mind and expression of feeling in combination with self-discipline and spontaneity – in my view, these are the most essential characteristics of East Asian calligraphy.
I offer live performances (e.g. as shown ) with a large and / or a smaller brush, allowing people fascinated by the art of calligraphy to witness the creation of a work in the here and now. On request, I also offer an introduction to the history and characteristics of Sino-Japanese characters as well as Japanese calligraphy.
If you feel like picking up a brush yourself, the event can also be combined with a workshop (3 to 9 participants).
